Lonely Scapa Flow

Lonely Scapa Flow is the best-loved of all Orkney songs and the definitive version was sung by Orkney personality, Angus Findlater. Sadly, he died this year but will long be remembered for his contributions to local radio and as a singer with local bands. His wonderful voice makes the most of this marvelous mixture of songs: old-time favourites like Paper Moon and True Love , popular Orkney song, Kirkwall Bay and the very funny Brak' Him Up for Spares, written in the 50s by the gifted Orcadian humourist, Geordie Corrigall. Sit back and wallow in melody and nostalgia.
