Westray is famous throughout Orkney for the quality of its dances and the Westray Band, led by John P Drever, have been providing the music for the last seventeen years. In response to popular demand, Owen Tierney has got them into the Attic Studio to record their first CD.

Familiar tunes, ranging from The Rose of Allandale and The Yellow Rose of Texas to The Mucking of Geordie's Byre and See'll Be Coming Round the Mountain provide the music for the familiar Scottish dances, and the less familiar, such as the Westray One Step and the Palais Glide.

Whether you want to birl around the sitting room or just to sit back and dream you are at an Orkney dance again, this is a CD you will enjoy time and time again.
