Hymn to St Magnus
![]() | Price: £12.00 Supplier: Cathedral Choir |
Recorded in the Kirkwall’s 12th century St Magnus Cathedral, the choir of 28 voices sing a selection of their favourite hymns. As well as the 12th century Hymn to St Magnus, these include Schubert’s Holy, Holy, Holy and an arrangement of Highland Cathedral, which includes a solo on the bagpipes.
The accompanist Heather Rendall also plays two reflective pieces on the cathedral’s magnificent Willis organ.
This CD is a wonderful example of talented amateur musicians sharing their love of music with each other and their listeners.
