Photographs
Taking a good photograph of Orkney is like shooting fish in a barrel. The wide skies, sparkling water and beautiful coastline even allow amateurs like me to take photos they are proud of.
The large photographic prints are about 42cm by 30, allowing the rich colours to make a stunning impact. The smaller prints are about a quarter of the size, still large enough to adorn a wall beautifully. Choose from sunsets, sunrises, seals, puffins, beaches, landmarks and more.
Any of the pictures in Charles Tait's guide book are also available as prints. Just send us an e-mail to let us know which you'd like.
Blank cards are such a useful thing to have in the house, for those times you've forgotten a birthday or want to send a short note. A selection of Pam Farmer's views of Orkney are perfect for sending to a friend or putting in a frame and keeping for yourself.

Charles Tait's years of experience in photographing Orkney are evident in these lovely images. These are approximately 42 x 30 cm. The same images are available in the Small Prints section.

Taking pictures of products for the shop gave me an excuse to buy a digital camera and I've been very pleased with pictures I've taken when out walking with a friend. She admired the photos but said that taking a good picture of Orkney doesn't present much of a challenge. I had to concede this but it still takes skill to produce images like these.
