Commission Sales

Some of the goods in our shop are described as being commission sales. This means that the supplier of the goods is selling them directly to you – we are just advertising the goods and passing the payment to them, minus our commission. We are acting as an agent in these cases and not as a principal.

We only undertake these types of transactions in a limited number or circumstances. One example is where our supplier wants to send out his goods directly to you, particularly where specialist packing is required. Another is where our supplier is not registered for VAT in the UK and it avoids us having to charge VAT at 17.5% on top of the normal price.

Ordinarily this would affect your rights as a buyer in that you are buying from someone other than us. However, we are committed to ensuring that you get a good deal from anything you buy in our shop and so we operate similar policies on returns and refunds as for any other purchase, unless the selling price of the item exceeds £200 when we will need to speak to our supplier on your behalf before agreeing to the return. Otherwise our terms are identical whether you buy from us as principal or agent.
