The pot was scraped clean! Not one spoonful was left for the hogboon’s supper. That was the final straw! The hogboon was very angry, angrier than he had been for over a hundred and fifty years. The last time he had been so mad was when a hill-trow had gone into his mound and stolen a jar of heather berry jam that he had been saving for his Sunday tea.
“Well, if that’s what they think of me, then they will have no more luck on this farm”, thought the hogboon.
