Kirkwall Harbour
Kirkwall harbour is a busy place and the creel boats have to moor side-by-side. There is a bit more space now that there is a brand-new marina on the other side of the East Pier. The Kirkwall lifeboat is moored at the West Pier, alongside the Lifeboat House. Above the roof of the house you can see the superstructure of the little ro-ro ferry, Shapinsay, that serves the island of the same name.
Mounted watercolour print, 51 x 43.5cm
