Britt Harcus is a young artist who has returned to Orkney after gaining a degree in Visual Communication. Her farming background is evident in her latest collection of giclee prints, inspired by vintage adverts. I particularly like this one because it conjures up a bright, breezy Orkney day and that glint in the sheep's eye reminds of the two sheep we had when I was young. They were ex-caddy [hand-reared] lambs who had the run of the farm and grew to an enormous size. Thankfully, they left the clothesline alone but one did have the bad habit of trying to butt the minister.
Mounted A4 print, 30 x 21cm approx on 330gm paper. Off-white mount, 2ins wide
