We have used a variety of sources to make our business directory as complete as possible. The public sector is included as well, so whether you need to contact a ferry company, a plumber or a school, you'll find the details here. An equally extensive accommodation directory will be added as soon as possible.

Charles Tait's Orkney Guide Book is absolutely packed with information and pictures. There are sections on Orkney's archaeology, history, culture and businesses and chapters on each parish and island. You can buy it in the shop or read it on-line. The on-line version isn't quite complete but the last chapters, on the North and South isles, will be added shortly.

We have compiled the most extensive databases of businesses and accommodation possible. We have compiled the databases from scratch so we hope that everyone is included.

The databases will continue to be refined and developed. There are facilities to add to or correct entries so that they can be kept up to date.
